Tin Salamunic / Illustrator, Designer & Creative Director

I was born in Banja Luka, Bosnia. I lived in Münster, Germany for seven years before settling in the United States in 1998. I finished my BFA in Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006.

I currently live in Richmond, Virginia, where I provide creative services for national and international clients, including: The CFA Institute, Die Zeit, ESPN Magazine, General Mills, Men's Health, Military Officer Magazine, Mountain Dew, Oakley, Playboy Magazine, Port Authority, Runner's World, Scholastic, The Washington Post and many more. I have established relationships with clients in each area of the art industry, from editorial illustrations for magazines and comic books to concept art and advertising.

I taught at Virginia Commonwealth University for over four years, instructing: Concept Art, Figure Drawing, Digital Drawing, Type & Image, Sequential Imaging, Senior Project/Studio, Visual Studies: Design and Comics & Graphic Novels. I continue to serve as an educator for rising creatives My work has received several awards from organizations like: 3×3 Magazine, Creative Quarterly, American Illustration, Richmond Illustrator's Club, Society of Illustrators of NY, Society of Illustrators of LA and Evangelical Press Association.
